Today, Bev, Hunter, and I hiked the Glacier Gorge Trail to Mills Lake (6.4 mile) with an elevation change of 840 ft.  This was a gorgeous and somewhat strenuous hike.  After leaving the trailhead we had a steady uphill climb over rocks among boulders to Alberta Falls, which was very beautiful with the golden aspen.  More climbing and then the trail leveled out as it traversed an open area with great views of the mountains.  Then more climbing until we reached Mills Lake, which is a medium-sized, rocky mountain lake.  We spent some time just relaxing on a large boulder and enjoying the beautiful views.  The hike back to the trailhead was pretty and great to see the colors from a different direction.  Also, there were some pretty views of a stream flowing through a side trail.  This evening we had a gorgeous sunset and enjoyed setting out on the deck and having dinner.

An unexpected visitor this morning
